Welcome to the World of Selene's Grandma

Selene - The light of my life

Selene - my beautiful granddaughter. A precocious 3 year old who sees beauty in everything and exudes love wherever she goes and lets you know she's in charge! A child who is fascinated at the smallest things - things, we as adults take for granted - the fluffiness of a small kitten to the huge blimps that fly overhead. A child who will get out there and roughhouse with the best of them, yet freak at the sight of a bug. A child who would eat Happy Meals 24 hours a day, but yearns Grandma's scrambled eggs and macaroni and cheese. A child who is so sweet and innocent yet can be so bullheaded. Oh, to be a child again!

My Family
We are a strange lot - a mixture of many interests. My husband aspires to running his own professional wrestling organization....and he will...the Dangerous World Wrestling Association. It's so hard trying to get started but he's determined to do it. We have four children among us: Jacki 26, Chris 23, Misty 19, and Russell 11. We have two grandchildren, Selene age 3 and Glen age 1 who we have not had the opportunity to meet yet because he lives so far away but who, nonetheless, is loved so very much by both of us and who will be as spoiled rotten as Selene. Our family is a "garden" of interests. Jacki wants
to own her own floral shop, Chris wants to be a social worker, Misty a beautician and Russell, well, the only thing on his mind right now is girls, girls, and more girls. The oldest two are mine, the youngest are his - but they are "All My Children." Being a stepparent is very hard, but very rewarding in so many ways.

We are All Friends
I meet many types of people in my field as a night auditor for the Red Roof Inn and I have found that, for the most part, people are very kind. There are a few out there who, I believe, exist just to make things difficult for others (they complain about everything!) but they are few and far between. I love my job and the people I meet - I look at it like the hotel is my home and all these people are here for a visit and I must make things comfortable and safe for them because I want them to enjoy their stay and come back again to visit....and most of the time, they do.
